    Overview

This course introduces licensed Medicare producers to the ICHRA-Medicare market transition. Producers will examine why employers are moving away from traditional group health plans, how the Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) works as a defined-contribution alternative, and why ICHRA funds can reimburse Medicare premiums. The course also covers the employer savings case for transitioning Medicare-eligible employees off group coverage, the Medicare agent's distinct role in the Medicare-ICHRA process, and the key stakeholders agents will encounter. No prior ICHRA or group health experience is required.

    You will learn:

    • Setting the Stage
    • What is ICHRA?
    • The Medicare Transition
    • The Stakeholder Map
